Tips for a Successful Import

⚠️ Check the date format

UK/AU/NZ: use DD/MM/YYYY. US: MM/DD/YYYY. International: YYYY-MM-DD. Our converter sets the right format for your bank's country automatically.

⚠️ No thousands separators

Xero expects plain numbers: 1500.00 not 1,500.00. If your bank exports include commas, our converter strips them automatically.

⚠️ Signs matter

Xero needs negative amounts for debits and positive for credits. Our converter handles debit/credit column formats and converts them to signed numbers.

💡 Duplicate detection

Xero won't import the same transaction twice. If you import overlapping date ranges, Xero skips duplicates — safe to re-import.
