What we collect

When you use Bank Statement Converter we collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:

• PDF files you upload. These are stored temporarily on our servers for up to 24 hours, then permanently deleted.
• IP address and basic request data. Stored in server logs for security and abuse prevention. Not linked to your identity.
• Email address (only if you register for an account). Used to identify your account and send service-related messages.

What we do not do

• We do not share your uploaded files with any third party.
• We do not use your uploaded files for any purpose other than conversion.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show advertising.

File retention

PDF documents uploaded to Bank Statement Converter are stored for a maximum of 24 hours and then permanently deleted. Converted output files (CSV, Excel, JSON) are also deleted after 24 hours. All transfers use HTTPS encryption.

You can also delete your file immediately at any time by clicking the Delete Now button next to any file in your recent files list. Files deleted this way are removed from our servers instantly and cannot be recovered.

Account data

If you register for an account, we store your email address. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (if you are logged in). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
