PDF bank statements are designed for printing and reading — not for analysis. Once you convert your PDF bank statements to Excel, you unlock capabilities the PDF simply cannot offer:
💡 Balance verification included: After extracting your transactions, we cross-check the computed running balance against the printed closing balance. If there's a discrepancy, you'll see a warning — so your data is trustworthy before you import it anywhere.
Every Excel file we produce contains clean, structured data with no formatting tricks or merged cells that break imports:
| Column | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Date | Transaction date in a consistent format | 2025-08-15 |
| Description | Full narration text as printed on statement | NEFT TRANSFER / SALARY |
| Debit | Money out (withdrawals, payments) | 12,500.00 |
| Credit | Money in (deposits, transfers received) | 85,000.00 |
| Balance | Running account balance after each transaction | 1,42,350.00 |
Our tool handles thousands of different PDF layouts, date formats, and currency styles automatically:
Many older bank statements are scanned images inside a PDF — standard tools fail on these because there is no selectable text. Our built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) automatically detects scanned pages and reads them using the same high-accuracy engine used by financial data companies. The result is identical to a digital PDF conversion — clean rows, verified balances, downloadable as Excel.
Scanned statements from nationalised banks, older branches, and physical document scans are all supported. If the text is visible in the PDF, our OCR will extract it.
Many banks lock PDF statements with a password by default (usually your date of birth or customer ID). You don't need to remove the password first — just upload the PDF and enter your password when prompted. The password is used only to unlock the file for extraction and is never stored, logged, or transmitted beyond your session.
Processing client bank statements is one of the most time-consuming tasks in accounting. Converting each PDF bank statement to Excel eliminates manual data entry and lets you import directly into accounting software. Our balance check also confirms data integrity before import.
Business owners use Excel bank statement data to track cash flow, categorise expenses, prepare GST or VAT returns, and share clean records with their CA or auditor. Converting PDFs to Excel takes seconds instead of hours of typing.
Lenders often require bank statements in spreadsheet form to analyse income patterns. Converting your PDF bank statements to Excel gives you a formatted, readable file that highlights regular salary credits and expense patterns.
Finance teams that receive supplier or client bank statements in PDF format use our tool to bring transaction data into Excel for reconciliation, audit preparation, and cash-flow reporting.
India is our highest-volume market. Every major Indian bank PDF format is supported and regularly tested — including the tricky ones:
Password-protected. Default password is date of birth in DDMMYYYY format (e.g. 15081990) or 10-digit Customer ID. Enter when prompted — never stored or shared.
Custom embedded fonts that block text extraction. OCR switches on automatically — no manual steps. Supports e-statements and passbook PDFs.
Multi-page statements with repeated column headers on every page. Headers are deduplicated so no header row appears as a transaction in the Excel output.
All supported. Correct debit/credit detection, UPI narration extraction, and balance verification on every conversion.
Date formats: DD/MM/YYYY, DD-MMM-YYYY, and DDMONYYYY all auto-detected and normalised to YYYY-MM-DD. Currency: ₹ INR amounts extracted as plain numbers — no ₹ symbol — for direct compatibility with Excel formulas and accounting software.
